Now is the time to cue that song that always makes me cry:
This is the song that makes me think, “Oh my God, I’ve missed my children growing up! I didn’t appreciate them enough, didn’t relish those little moments” and then I’m like “Oh my God!! WHO LEFT THIS MESS IN THE KITCHEN?” And those difficult feelings pass.
Chickens, though, really do grow up fast. Wow! You will recall our darling chicks (the cupcake liner wearing angels). First, you’ll want to see the progress my son made on their chicken coop (props to Simon):
Now wait a second…peer close into that chicken coop…are those…little chickens in the run? We took the girls on a field trip today! The girls have been getting zooey š in their indoor galvanized tube so we decided it was time for them to take an expedition, even if we can’t. I expected them to run in terror all around but instead they were like, finally! A coop! They were ready to spread their wings. Here is a sweet little movie of them being chicks. #proudparents
